Ain’t Misbehavin’ ~ swing and jazz duo was formed in 1998. Two musicians sounding like more ! ~ The band has a vast experience of playing for Wedding receptions, Birthday parties, Dinner-jazz, Hotels and Restaurants, Corporate functions (over 1500 performances so far and counting ) Diane Atkinson and Tony Sheppard bring some unique talents and professionalism to their music. The combination of Saxophones, Flute, and Keyboards can sound silky, smooth and sophisticated, or groovin’ hard on a Salsa dance number. The music is chosen specially to suit each event from the band’s huge repertoire, which includes classic jazz and swing standard numbers from all the greats — Cole Porter, Gershwin, Fats Waller, Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Charlie Parker ,George Shearing, Cannonball Adderley, Dave Brubeck , Herbie Hancock, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Ray Charles, Robbie Williams, Jamie Cullum. Claire Teale ,Harry Connick ..the list goes on and on…and .., You can choose the music ! We use the latest BOSE L1 sound system, carefully controlled to give high quality at a suitable volume! |

Diane Atkinson Plays smooth Tenor and ’gutsy’ Baritone saxophones, an amazing Jazz flute and Clarinet. Her swinging Vocals add yet another dimension to Ain’t Misbehavin’ She also plays baritone sax and sings for ‘the Crescendo Big Band, performs with MiZiZi Reggae band and occasionally 2h2h (Too Hot To Handle - seventies rock band.)

Tony Sheppard Plays Keyboards, trombone and sings for Ain’t Misbehavin’. With years of expertise in the music business, and the latest keyboard technology, he creates anything from smooth quartet and Glenn Miller classic big band sounds to funky Salsa beat numbers. Tony’s other current activities:- Musical director for the CRESCENDO Big Band. He also plays lead trombone and is Musical Director for The Jay Cee Big Band Recently formed Danzon Latin salsa and Caribbean band Is also one of his new ventures. The Danzon show can be incorporated into the Ain’t Misbehavin show.
For many years Tony was Musical Director of the Gloucestershire Youth Jazz Orchestra, Head of Brass instrument tuition for Gloucestershire Music Service and Musical Director of the Gloucester Gang Show In an earlier life he featured in bands on the London Jazz scene, .playing trombone for ‘The Delta Jazzmen’ at The Marquee, 100 Oxford Street, Ken Colyers, Thames Hotel, Black Prince Ilford and touring. Also with ‘The Big Soul Band’ working with some legendary Jazz musicians (including Tubby Hayes).
He directed the widely acclaimed ‘On the Slide’ trombone project for Cheltenham International Jazz Festival, performing with international trombone star Dennis Rollins.
